Mannn I haven't done one of these for a while. Ah well i have plenty of excuses, mainly because textiles coursework and exam revision has taken over my life! Had 3 exams this week. ALL of them were awful. Reckon I've scraped a pass on them at the most. No way I have my target B's though. History was a complete fail. Two questions came up that never came up before. And considering there were the only 3 questions and we had to answer two I almost walked out of the exam as I hadn't revised half of the stuff i needed too. Luckily everyone was the same and everyone reckons they've failed so its not so bad. The other two were Maths and Textiles and both were pretty bad too. So that's 3 down only 5 more to go!

Went to the Metro after the History exam. Nothing a bitta retail therapy can't fix. For some reason ended up getting like 7 tops. Slightly excessive, but most of them were cheapies for Peru anyway. Got a nice knitted jumper thing from Primark which I just found a whole in. I'll have to do a bit of DIY stitching. Also got a strappy denim top which is sooo cute from H&M. Found some bargain ray ban style sunnies with a cute flower pattern from New Look too.

Most of my friends are at Evolution today. Didn't really fancy it myself. Went last year and loved it. Maccabees, White Lies, Dizzee Rascal, Friendly Fires, VV Brown etc, line up was pretty good for £15. Wasn't impressed with this years tho, only really like the Futureheads and I'm already off to see them at Castle Calling in August.

H&M £9.99

Primark £9.00

New Look £5

I IZ BACK

Have been so stressed out with textiles coursework that I haven't posted for quite a long time. So lots has happened since my last post.

+ My birthday was a few weeks ago, parents were away so free house. had a good night. Got lots of nice presents of everyone. Nice Weather. Overall a pretty good birthday.
+ Finally got to see 'Remember Me'- absolutely loved it although it was probably one of the most depressing films I've seen in ages.
+ Bought lots of nice things on various shopping trips, most of which was for my trip to Peru. So, jogging bottoms, baggy tops, that kinda thing. Also got a pretty knitted jumper from topshop.
+ Got stabbed with five different injections for Peru - 3 for hep a/b, 1 for typhoid and 1 for yellow fever. Had a little celebration inside when they were done, only to find we had to get a swine flu one. So still have that one to get.
+ Finished my skirt for textiles, was quite pleased with the final piece although it wasn't how I'd imagined it.
+ Had 2 weeks holiday for Easter, they were good, spent most of it doing textiles but had a few nice days out.
+ SUNNNNNN!!! - Summer has officially arrived. I actually got to wear strappy tops a few times in Easter. And have also gone shopping in Newcastle without wearing a coat!!
+ We got the final itinerary for Peru and that has got me very excited. Found out we get a whole day shopping! Okay, its no metro centre, BUT, its at a very cool traditional market, where, word on the the street, sell loadsa cool little bracelets and 'souvenirs'. On the bad side, we have to do a talent show one night for a few Peruvians, so will have to start thinking about how to do that with the least embarrassment involved.
+ Also check this website out www.eclecticeccentricity.bigcartel.com saw them at clothes show in December and they have some really cute stuff.

I still have a weekend full of textiles and revision to do so I'm going to get started on that. Ciao. xxx

£1500. Check

So I finally have pretty much my whole Peru amount. Last night I had a virgin vie party thing. Went rather well, got about £190 so its all good. I, of course, had to embarrass myself by doing a spectacular fall. in front of everyone :| i was cringing for the rest of the night. So yeah, i don't have to do any more fundraisers. which is good. not that i did much to organise them anyway, that was mothers job. :)

Just getting started on my textiles work for the day then a nice boring essay about
Hitler. But off to the metro tomorrow so that should be nice. Ciao :)

Cos I always stay too long

So, nothing much happened this week. Went to an 18th party last night. Twas a good laugh and its always nice to catch up with Lois seen as though we never see her these days.!:)

A group of us where judges for our school's x factor style thing. That was ermmm ... interesting. Some acts were better than others and on one or two occasions I couldn't hold in the laughter. Felt really guilty after but if they can't sing why the frig did they audition?!

We also had another Peru meeting. Found out that we have to make our own way to the airport for 3.30am. Not good. Other than that, i'd heard it before. Just rabid dogs, dodgy food, and an endless list of injections. Still though, all bad things aside I cannot wait to go. Think it will be an amazing two weeks tbh. x

So lonely was the ballad

So, back to 6th form today after half term. Twas okay, pretty good actually. Went really quick seen as though I was 40 minutes late thanks to friggen Arriva. Why is it always late when its freezing?!

Anyway, the week off was okay. Spent most of my days trying to do textiles coursework. Not fun! But also had a few shopping trips, one to the metro and one to Newcastle. Got some nice stuff, a few tops, nice wooly cardigan, a leather satchel and some old albums. Checked out the new Eldon Square bit in Newcastle. All bright and shiny. The Topshop's good but I'd heard it was gunna be huge and was a bit underwhelmed. Still, we got there early so all the shops were pretty dead which was better. Also went to a few vintage shops. Got this stripy scarf that makes me look like a footy fan but hey ho, I like it.

Also, thought I'd mention how great Robert Pattinson's new film 'Remember Me' looks. Or just how nice he looks in said film. I must say, I never really liked him in Twilight but he looks pretty good in this. Take a look. x

Peru

In July I'm off to Peru with sixth form. A big group of us are going to be building a food kitchen there in one of the shanty towns. We each have to raise £1500 and then another £20,000 between the whole group so I've been having a few fundraisers every now and then.

Anyway, last night I had another one. Me, Megan and Alex were on the door ha ha and selling raffle tickets. I think we were pretty good at selling them, especially to the men downstairs. One of which, when asked which colour ticket he wanted, replied "What colour are your eyes?" Awkward moment. He then choose the blue. My eyes are green. Clearly colour blind.

Overall it was rather funny. Spent the rest of the night listening to folk music. Not usually my kinda thing but everyone enjoyed it. The star of the night for me was Mr Spoons, sorry i don't know his real name. But no joke, we were impressed with his talent. Ended up raising £465, so it was well worth it.

I reckon I now have about £1000 towards my Peru fund. 2/3 of the way there! There'll probably be a few more fundraisers to come which I'll be most likely writing about on here.

Peru, here I come!!!
