So, nothing much happened this week. Went to an 18th party last night. Twas a good laugh and its always nice to catch up with Lois seen as though we never see her these days.!:)
A group of us where judges for our school's x factor style thing. That was ermmm ... interesting. Some acts were better than others and on one or two occasions I couldn't hold in the laughter. Felt really guilty after but if they can't sing why the frig did they audition?!
We also had another Peru meeting. Found out that we have to make our own way to the airport for 3.30am. Not good. Other than that, i'd heard it before. Just rabid dogs, dodgy food, and an endless list of injections. Still though, all bad things aside I cannot wait to go. Think it will be an amazing two weeks tbh. x

So lonely was the ballad
So, back to 6th form today after half term. Twas okay, pretty good actually. Went really quick seen as though I was 40 minutes late thanks to friggen Arriva. Why is it always late when its freezing?!
Anyway, the week off was okay. Spent most of my days trying to do textiles coursework. Not fun! But also had a few shopping trips, one to the metro and one to Newcastle. Got some nice stuff, a few tops, nice wooly cardigan, a leather satchel and some old albums. Checked out the new Eldon Square bit in Newcastle. All bright and shiny. The Topshop's good but I'd heard it was gunna be huge and was a bit underwhelmed. Still, we got there early so all the shops were pretty dead which was better. Also went to a few vintage shops. Got this stripy scarf that makes me look like a footy fan but hey ho, I like it.
Also, thought I'd mention how great Robert Pattinson's new film 'Remember Me' looks. Or just how nice he looks in said film. I must say, I never really liked him in Twilight but he looks pretty good in this. Take a look. x

Peru
In July I'm off to Peru with sixth form. A big group of us are going to be building a food kitchen there in one of the shanty towns. We each have to raise £1500 and then another £20,000 between the whole group so I've been having a few fundraisers every now and then.
Anyway, last night I had another one. Me, Megan and Alex were on the door ha ha and selling raffle tickets. I think we were pretty good at selling them, especially to the men downstairs. One of which, when asked which colour ticket he wanted, replied "What colour are your eyes?" Awkward moment. He then choose the blue. My eyes are green. Clearly colour blind.
Overall it was rather funny. Spent the rest of the night listening to folk music. Not usually my kinda thing but everyone enjoyed it. The star of the night for me was Mr Spoons, sorry i don't know his real name. But no joke, we were impressed with his talent. Ended up raising £465, so it was well worth it.
I reckon I now have about £1000 towards my Peru fund. 2/3 of the way there! There'll probably be a few more fundraisers to come which I'll be most likely writing about on here.
Peru, here I come!!!

First Post
Hello. I'm Caitlin. 16. I'm a sixth form student at St Johns, Bishop and currently studying Textiles, History, Psychology and Maths. Everything is going okay at the moment. Fingers crossed in a few years I'll be at uni doing a fashion degree. :)
I created one of these as I liked reading others and thought maybe I could do that. Hopefully I'll be fairly decent at this blogging malarkey. x
